Classification Mapping
To leverage existing classifications from Revit elements, users can take advantage of the Classification System mapping functionality under the Assets tab to map Revit parameters to Tandem properties. Under the assets tab, after applying the facilities template, navigate down to where it says Classification (Not mapped). Click the drop-down to open the list of available Revit properties. This is also a search bar to make finding the Revit properties, such as Assembly Code, easier. Once the Revit property that contains the Classification system is selected, this automatically classifies all assets, saving time.
*This will only work when the code for the classification in the Revit property is formatted the exact same as the code in the classification system used in the Facility Template.
Parameter Mapping
Below that, is a list of the parameters grouped by parameter category. Click the dropdown to start the parameter mapping process. Just like with mapping classifications, there is a search bar that can be utilized to make finding the corresponding Revit Property easier. Once a Revit property is selected, the parameter in Tandem will be populated with the information in the selected Revit Property.
