I'm at a school where we use Solidworks for most CAD and assembly work while attending, so I am generally decently inexperienced with Autodesk products. However, I have seen many pages mentioning that Solidworks assemblies can directly be imported to CFD, but I have had issues doing that. If anyone has had similar issues that have since been resolved, input would be welcome.

I discovered that my issues were entirely human error, CFD Ultimate failed to create a desktop shortcut so I automatically assumed that the program that did (CFD Viewer) was the correct one for CFD work, which was incorrect. CFD Ultimate was, in fact, the correct one for the job, and I no longer have this issue.
