WARNING - This analysis assumes that all tension steel (Ast) is fully anchored

in accordance with article 5.8.1.8.

In report we are getting above warning message, could you please give clarification above warning. As we are unable to locate article 5.8.1.8 in AASHTO Code.

Hi,

Thanks for pointing this out - and you are quite correct article 5.8.1.8 does not exist.  This part of the specification has changed quite a lot over the years and I believe it should be change to article 5.8.3.4.1.  Here it says:

"In calculating As and Aps the area of bars or tendons terminated less than their development length from the section under consideration should be reduced in proportion to their lack of full development"

In previouse versions of the specification they were omitted completely.

I will raise this with the product developers to get this changed in the future.
