Hi Dave,
Could you help out please.
I'm using Autodesk Structural Bridge Design 2022. I'm using the section design to get the Vrd,c for a 1000mm wide x 250mm deep section with B12's at 150mm c/c FF + NF, but every time I try and get an answer, the warning message comes up: "Invalid floating point operation". When I use the 2019 version it will give me the answer of approx. 111 kN.
Have you ever come across this before?
Thanks very much.
Regards,
Michael.

Hi,
I don't think I have come across this before. If you zip up your data file and attach it to a reply I will take a look. It will probably have to be tomorrow afternoon now as I am tied up with another project.
Thanks
Dave Geeves
Hi Dave,
Please find attached.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delay in responding to this. I get exactly the same as you, even if I start a section from scratch. I have tried changing various parameters to narrow down the cause but the error persists. I can only hope that the development team have noticed this and will respond accordingly. I will keep trying but I don't hold out much hope. I also notice that the section analysis works fine when I create it in 2020 version but if I then load this in to 2022 I then get the failure for the shear calculations.
Sorry I can't help any further.
Kind regards
Dave Geeves
