Importing Load Data on FE/Grillage Model

Hello,

Is there any way i can import a list of data from excel and apply it to node numbers. I would like to copy and paste a list of values from a spreadsheet but i cant seem to do it. What options are available to import loads to a FE model.

Hi Paul

This is something that can't be done at the moment in SBD. It isn't possible to import loads into an analysis model in SBD from a spreadsheet. What do you need this for? Where have the loads come from that you want to apply to the model? What format is the spreadsheet in? Is it possible for you to share a copy of the spreadsheet so we could take a look at what you're wanting to import?

It is basically copy and pasting text from a spreadsheet, in the same way that you can copy data onto a SBD beam file on the loading tab

I am looking to apply a certain force on hundreds of nodes along the span, I am not keen on entering these manually as it is error prone. Is there any options available where large amounts of load input can be copied onto an SBD Model. copy and pasting loads to numbered nodes is common on other software such as SuperStress. I find it hard to believe that SBD cannot allow this.

If you have any ideas can you please let me know.
