How do you set up a delay in Scaleform LUA scripts?

I've almost got my gamepad input script working, I just need a way of creating a short delay so that the gamepad doesn't spam the script.  How do you create a delay or a "waitForSeconds" function in LUA in Scaleform.  Is it a coroutine of some sort?  I've looked through the Scaleform API and I can't figure out which function I should use, or how to properly implement a timer of some sort.
