Toon Shader on textered model?

Hello everyone! I am trying to get an "anime" look when it comes to shading. Something like the pic below.

 

However, I already have textures on my model. I read some tutorials already and it said to use ramp shading. But I already have a png texture file used where it says to use a ramp. So does anyone know how to like overlay a ramp over a texture file for shading? Or anything else to help me get the desired effect?

 

I'm not very familiar with nodes by the way. So if it includes nodes, can I get a detailed explanation as I have not had a lot of practice using them? Thank you!

In the 'texture layer' editor you can layer another image over the texture already plugged into the ramp port.
