Anyone know of any script/plug-in/compound out there that lets you select non-planar poly's with a threshold?
I mean a sort of 'lazy select' that, given a threshold, would count everything beneath it planar and everything above it non-planar ( or vice-a-versa) i.e 'nearly flat' and 'definitely not flat'.
At the moment I have a script that selects all non-planar poly's but it's very accurate and has no tolerance, it selects even very microscopically non-planar polys. I'm trying to find a way to select the only 'most unplanar' to triangulate but am happy enough to leave the acceptably nonplanar untriangulated.
I've hunted around and so far can't see anything. Unfortunately, I am not good enough with ice or scripting to write something myself.
