Spent ten years learning XSI.
Spent some time with max, found it the second best alternative, but not exactly as intuitive.
Could NEVER figure out how to use Maya. just too convoluted.
and 5 years have gone by, and not one alternative comes close to replacing it as far as ease of use goes.
any idea why the XSI team sold out to Autodesk? or was it a hostile takeover? I knew SI's fate was sealed as soon as the borg, err, autodesk took over. and it's a shame it can't be saved somehow.
I refuse to migrate to anything else.
