Multiple Tabs/Canvases/Project open at the same time

Pretty much as it says in the Title. adding the feature to have multiple canvases open at the same time in tabs. It would be a very cool feature.

Yes, this is the one thing that kills me about SketchBook. Not being able to quickly switch between a few different sketch file windows or "sheets" seriously hampers productivity. It's called SketchBOOK, right? So why no support for multiple windows or sheets which would be obvious given the name? I know the software is supposed to be fairly lightweight, but I would hope a feature like that would not cripple it given that we live in 2019 (as of this message). The ability to copy layers to other open files/sheets would be a beautiful thing.

Same here, Sketchbook -- where is the book?  I do a lot of opening and closing of files these days, it would be nice to gather projects in "books" and have the ability to flip through pages to find a spot to work or get inspired by past work!

Agree with this one.

ah yes, tabs, the good old ability to work on many projects, to make storyboards and to use reference photos on other tabs

I use Corel Painter now only because it has a great reference image box that can be placed anywhere on my Windows 10 screen, so I place it on my second screen, while using my primary Cintiq display for digital painting.  I prefer Sketchbook but cannot use it until Autodesk adds a dedicated similar function to it.

@Anonymous I cannot agree more.

For something that should be as "simple" as adding another abstraction layer along with resource management, the productivity you gain makes up for the work required to get this updated in spades.

I would also like to say that I am now curious in Corel Painter and its reference image box 🤔.

The Corel Painter reference image allows easy paint dropper access. So when
I need that exact shade of skin color underneath an area of the eye doing a
portrait, I simply point the dropper onto that part of the reference image
then use my brush on my painting with that color in it. I have tried to do
the same with the dropper in Sketchbook and though I can sometimes do that
with an image on my second screen, it usually stops working.

yeah it really annoys me that I can't work on multiple tabs at once, I'm pretty sure you can on the app but for some reason, you can't on the computer
