Make moving intuitive!

Make moving intuitive!

At the moment moving your canvas or rotating it is far from intuitive...

Yeah, one can hold the space bar and do stuff, but that just is not how we are used to work anymore...

When you think of it: Everywhere there is:

pinch to zoom in

spread to zoom out

twist to rotate

etc

Even Photoshop manages to use these gestures to manipulate its canvas (Including zoom and rotate) that way...

I would be over the moon if SketchBook would have a good working system like that, that does not need any key combinations, but just lets you use your fingers (If you have a touch device, obviously!)

Yes this would be a nice feature and improve Sketchbook for all users and maybe to get a way from this "Windows 10 App and Windows 10 Desktop" approach which I don't appreciate.

But when I'm working with the desktop version on my Cintiq I don't need it any touch input.

Most of the time I keep touch disabled cause of a lot of wrong inputs and often touch is not accurate enough for me.

Maybe this should be fixed or improved in this step too.

Hi Patrick,

Indeed, the Windows 10 App version can go as far as I am concerned.

I understand why you turn touch of, as I've had many unwanted strokes in my drawings, trying to zoom or rotate with my fingers....

If Photoshop can do it (Without holding keys), Sketchbook should certainly be able to do it (Without using the keyboard)

Please for the love of god i can not even begin to describe how frustrating it is to sit there and try to zoom only to scribble all over my *bleeping* drawing. I wish there was some way to truly express the frustration I'm sure we all feel. I have a surface with a surface pen why would I want to use my finger to draw? this isn't kindergarten I do not care to finger paint. I mean really though how is this not a bigger deal? Look at the mass of forum complaints begging for just a simple pen mode option. I imagine there are THOUSANDS of people who are absolutely livid after scribbling repeatedly (often three or four times) all over the drawing just trying to do something as simple as zoom or pan. "oh just use the space bar" is one of the most frustrating and inconsiderate responses I've ever seen on par with "let them eat cake." I love sketchbook, I love the brushes the smoothness the joy of using it, but the pleasantness of the experience is totally obliterated every time I want to zoom and thus I curse autodesk's name nearly every single *bleeping* time I try to zoom. WHYYY!?!?!?!? I'm begging you, and I have been for about three years now, please just make a pen mode. Please, please please please pleeeeease. But if experience is any indication, our crie swill fall on indifferent ears and we will be scribbling instead of zooming for the rest of our autodesk forsaken lives.
