Unable to Transform SELECTIONS of content on Multiple Layers

I have Sketchbook Pro v. 8.7.1 and am using Win 10 x64.

I simply want to be able to make a selection in a layer and to be able to SHIFT-CLICK multiple layers, so that it will transform content in all layers at the same time (scaling, usually). This does work for scale multiple layers' full content for the ENTIRE LAYER, but NOT for a selection. I just get a black circle with a line through it, when I try to do this.

I have read, "Transforming content on one or more layers" on the Autodesk site, "Transforms" under Sketchbook.

But these to only address transforming the entier layers' content, not a selection.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

The only thing that I can think of is that you may have a text layer.  You need to rasterize the text to be able to select it.

NOTE:  After Rastering the text, you can't edit it anymore.
