Sketchbook wont open files. (Android)

For whatever reason when I attempt to open a sketchbook file from my dropbox on my android it doesn't work. It instead opens and copies another sketch in my gallery with no message to explain why it's doing what it's doing.

Yet this doesnt occur on my ipad. It instead says outright that the file was created on the desktop version and that some stuff may be different, but otherwise happily converts it.

I need to figure out why it wont open, as this is essential for my project.

Note that these are .tif and .tiff files. And PSDs similarly have issues opening.

I think the hardware of the Android device is not powerful enough to open the file.  I woujld create a couple of test files and see if you can open it.  I would start with smaller sized canvas' and resolutions.

If you start a NEW sketch on the Android device, you can choose New Sketch > Custom > Adjust the slider to see the max resolution.  Please note that the PPI is only 72.

...so resolution is 300 dpi, you need to multiple it by 300.
