Sketchbook will not load

I have been using sketchbook for over a year, both on my surface tablet and on my desktop. Recently the desktop version will no longer load. It gives me a white screen and locks that screen - pointer is a  small circle with a slash through it. The only way to disable is to go into Windows Task Manager and exit the program. I have deleted and reloaded the program multiple times - but no joy.

Any suggestions?????

Rename the "8.0" folder.  See the steps noted here:

When the screen goes white, I suspect it maybe a video card/display issue.  If you have more than 1 screen connected, can you try to use only 1 screen?
