SketchBook closes by itself

Hi, my name is Gabriela, and I work from a Windows 10 PC. Today I spent some time on a project that I was really proud of the way it was turning out, but for my surprise, within a few minutes away from my PC, the App just closed by itself without saving any of my progress. My computer was functioning perfectly, and while I was away it didn't restart, update, not even screen save. I thought maybe the App could be set up to do that, but it wouldn't make sense, since it didn't save anything. I would like to know if this is normal to happen, and if there's a chance I can recover my file.
