I just bought a Surface Pen to draw on my Surface Pro 5 and wanted to try it out on Autodesk Sketchbook. It works just fine except when zooming in. There's a small difference between where I put my pen and zhere the cursor actually paint or erase.
I joined a screen shot of what's happening : the round cursor is the eraser, the blue X is where I placed my pen.
Don't know if it's your advice or if it's something else but so far... it seems my problem is solved =/
It's a bit weird, but I closed and reopened Sketchbook 3 times and no matter how much I zoomed, there wasn't any gap anymore. Technologies' mystery ^^''
