Don't know if anybody else has seen this, and I didn't see anything online, but when the rotation is set to 0 or 90 degrees, the template screws up and jump across the center. I haven't been able to determine why it does it on one and not the other, nor which axis will cause it. If it does jump across, I can rotate the template 90 degress and resize it and it works fine, but I always have to make sure I do it on a clean layer in case I need to erase it and rotate.

What type of tablet are you using?  I have seen this happen with Wacom tablets using 'older' Wacom drivers.

Neither. I was using a Logitech G series mouse. I was just messing around to test it so I could warn the artists at my studio about any issues before they look at implementing it in their pipeline.

Had the same problem but found a way around it. I just rotate the ellipse tool slightly and that's it, the glitch goes away. After the rotation, if necessary I can place it back to its original position (0 degrees) and I'll be still able to use it without any problem.

I've had the same problem as this.  We are using Wacom tablets and we are on the latest driver: version

6.3.32-4.  We've got a full classroom of students and this comes up regularly.

Any additional thoughts as to why this occurs?

Thanks!

I too suffer this issue

Wacom Cintiq Pro 24. All drivers up to date. Quite frustrating when one can't draw a circle successfully.

This is typically a glitch with the Wacom driver.  I would use an older one.  Download each version (older) from here:

https://www.wacom.com/en/support/product-support/drivers

The Wacom drivers are 'universal' and work with all Wacom devices so you can go back to:

Windows - Driver 6.3.15-3 (Win 7, 8 and 10) <AS AN EXAMPLE>

Also, if you are using a Logitech Mouse, I would try to uninstall the Logitech mouse driver and see if it happens with the default Windows mouse driver.

I've Sketchbook installed on a Windows 10 machine and this happens there too. Changing the mouse doesn't affect it in any way. It looks like a division by zero problem. I think the programs sets a origin somewhere and every time the mouse crosses it again in a non-zero position a glitch occurs. Very annoying.
