Colour picker magnifier graphic getting stuck in middle of screen

Very often (at least once per hour long session) I will go to pick a colour using the eye dropper and after the ui has reappeared the magnifier will be showing in the middle of my screen. It cannot be moved with the stylus, it doesn't disappear if I go to pick another colour, it does not move with the canvas. lt appears on top of everything, even the preferences screen. I have to close the app completely and start again to get rid if it.

I am using sketchbook version 1.7.0 on a Microsoft surface book, running windows 10 professional, 64 bit.

Can I get the specs of your SurfaceBook?  i.e. Amount of Ram / Video Card?  This can be found via:  Search > msinfo32.exe

Hi David,

It has an intel i5-6300U 2.4 ghz processor, 8gb RAM, and I can't actually find any listing for a separate graphics card - I think it is on board graphics, the listing under 'display' in the system info names it Intel HD Graphics 520.

Let me know if there is any other info you need.

If there turns out to be no practical solution for the problem right now, I was at least just wanting to report it as a bug, as I couldn't find any posts detailing this exact problem with the ink dropper tool. It has been happening since I installed Sketchbook, and there has been at least one patch since then that hasn't had any affect on the issue.

Many thanks for looking into it.

Same here. Except I'm on a Samsung Tab S3.

It's EXTREMELY annoying.Screenshot_20180509-195548.png

There's a tiny barely visible towards the middle bottom of the screen, tap it, then tap the "double puck". Game over 🙂 enjoy!

Thanks for that,

Unfortunately, your version appears to be different to mine - there is no little circle for me to tap on when this bug occurs. But thank you for replying.

To any developers readings this: The puck is normally meant to disappear automatically when I've picked my colour, but it stays in the centre of the screen and is not functional or interactable in any way.

And yes, nearly a year since making this thread, it is STILL happening.

That's not actually my screenshot, but someone else's. So it's a helpful solution for them, but not for me, unfortunately. 🙂

I put a screenshot of my version showing the bug in the first post of this thread, and the circle is not there. I have no idea why my version seems to be different to other people's, different platforms maybe?
