Clipping Mask, Clip to Layer below, Quick Mask or whatever the function is called, is a great tool for every illustration artist. It is a must for me. I use it in Photoshop, in ClipStudio, in Affinity Designer and Photo, and in my Android software. So why is it not in SketchBook?

I have logged this suggestion to the development team.  To see what is coming to Android, check out the feature set in the iOS version.

I would like to +1 this. Without masking to layers, I can't color my linework, so I need to finish everything in photoshop on my desktop. I may need to find a new program if this doesn't change.

The clipping masks in a serious illustration program is absolutly neccesary to me. That is why I hardly use Sketchbook any more but for - sketching.

I do not have any hope for Sketchbook adding clipping mask / clip layers, nor masking at all. I guess Autodesk stopped developing Sketchbook. I guess there is no future for it more than as an abandonware.

Me, as a Surface Pro user like Sketchbook much, it has such a great UI.

There are two upcoming favourites for me. One is Leonardo (still beta) that is promised to add custom brushes this year. This program is Windows only, desktop, tablets and laptops. It is nearly as good as Sketchbook and it has clipping layers / masks.

Adobe Fresco is the other favourite. High quality. With Clipping  layers, of course.

(Clip Studio is also very a good program, a little messy UI on my Surface Pro tablet. It was not designed for using on tablets, but it has the clipping mask tool too.)

That's it. I can wait just a little longer for Sketchbook to add it. Just a little.
