Can't fully erase, and Flood Fills are trasparent

Hi,

I've been experiencing a couple of problems in Sketchbook.

1. Can't fully erase. Whenever I need to erase a drawing, it almost always (if not ALWAYS) leaves behind a very light mark. You may not be able to see it at first, but if you look from the bottom up at your screen, you can see the drawing is still there. Even Sketchbook knows it's there, as when you use the flood fill tool, and bring the tolerance down to 1, it will fill the area around the lines.

Just a moment ago, I think I figured out the problem. No, I can't do anything about it, but it seems to me that whenever you draw something, two lines appear: one solid line, and one nearly transparent line. In the attached file (sorry it looks so bad, it's just a quick example using the mouse), you can see two solid eyes, and a nearly transparent eye on the right of each one. Same with his mouth. What's going on?

I've contacted Autodesk about this erasing issue before, but no one's really done anything. It's ugly and annoying, but I don't think it's caused as many problems as the next issue.

2. The flood fills are transparent. Or, more specifically, whenever you flood fill something with a light colour (may depend on colour and shade, but white is one of them), you can literally see through it. It's nearly impossible to tell in Sketchbook, but in Windows Photo Viewer or a program like Anime Studio Debut 8 (which I'm currently using my drawings in), you can see it. In Anime Studio, I have a character who has peach skin, and you can literally see the wall behind his face. It's ridiculous.

One solution to this, is to 'copy merged' the drawing, and 'paste' it over it. That way, there's two of the same colour, making the colour more solid (I guess that's how it works?). Still, this is ridiculous, and a waste of time.

Please Autodesk, do something about these issues.

Just to be sure, though, is anyone else seeing this, or is it just me? Thanks.

I've attached an image of both problems (again, sorry it's so bad). I've flood filled the character white, and painted the top of his head white with a brush. You can see the blue box behind his head. His body/arms have been erased, and you can see the lines are still there. If you can't see it here, try copy/pasting it someplace, and viewing either in Windows Photo Viewer or some other program). OR, you can just try it for yourself.

I'm having the same exact problem in SKETCHBOOK PRO. I use a bright green background to do line work on a 300dbi canvas. I noticed I can't use the eraser once over a line because even with the eraser at 100% opacity for any pressure I get a very light shadow left behind and have to go over the stroke again to fully erase the line.

Very glad to hear I'm not alone in this. It's very frustrating, especially when you've erased quite a few lines and you see them in the finished product. I've already talked to Sketchbook about this, but the issue persists. The latest update didn't fix it..

So, it's been at least a couple of months, and the problems persist. As far as I know, we haven't been updated on the issue at all. I'm very disappointed in AutoDesk...

I have the same issue as of 04/21/2018. I am running the latest Sketchbook software and a Cintiq Pro 24 with the latest drivers and pen firmware, on a fairly new 2017 iMac. Here are some interesting things I found: 1. After I erase some brush strokes, there is a very faint remainder of the erased image - extremely faint and low transparency. 2. If I hide the layer that has the ghosted erased stroke - it still appears if other layers are visible. 3. If i turn off all layers with brush strokes the faint remnant disappeared. Here is one thing that "worked". Flatten all layers with brush strokes together - then erase the ghosted stroke. That removed the ghosted remainder of the brush stroke. This only worked for me because the erased stroke was not on top of another color layer (just on transparent space). Strangely - the same issues were present, and the same flattening method "worked", in Photoshop CC latest version. The file was created originally in Sketchbook. I'm sure that Autodesk will say its a Wacom issue, and Wacom will say its a Sketchbook issue. Im going to attempt an older pen model (grip pen). If that doesn't work, Ill try a Wacom driver purge and re-install.

Issue still persists over 2 years later. I don't know how we can get AutoDesk's attention on this thing because this bug with the not-fully-erasing lines is causing a lot of issues with filling and makes the drawing experience very frustrating.

Please resolve this bug!

believe it or not this bs is stilling happening. i guess once they make the software free, you're ****ed. i don't get it. i've uninstalled,  deleted hidden files, punched my computer in the face. I don't get it. I've had it working several times by using some of the methods suggested but this time it refuses to cooperate. what the hell is going on?
