Artist Coming out of the Shadows

I'm very new to drawing applications and such.

I don't have my tablet yet.
I plan on buying a tablet the 23rd of August for a late birthday present.

Having had numerous difficulties drawing I took a break and not turned over to a new leaf.

I really like drawing role playing game people.

Could you please post some beginner tips for the program?

One idea I have is to practice by having a picture to look at while I draw.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello Joel,

Get inspired here:

For tablets, I would try to get a Wacom tablet.  Intuos Pro or higher.  It should work with other Wacom tablets but Pro/Cintiq is the best.

Change of plans I'm sad to say.

I ended up picking up drawing supplies instead of the Tablet.

The tablet will come in time.
The Wacom Tablet looks real smooth.

Is there a special hand tool to wear to not smudge the screen. I haven't looked to hard into it, but I'm sure it's out there.

Thank you Autodesk.
