we have a different idea on this proposal. What if we allowed the user to select a number of surfaces graphically 1st , and then editing the surface thickness / element normal etc , only for those selected surfaces. I think that will solve yoru problem better. what do you think?
OK for your proposition ; but a direct link between the selected surface (in element definition array) and the graphical zone should be more "global" and direct.
If we go to your solution, people could forget some surfaces on the models, to be aasigned a given thickness.
