Automatic Surface Mesh Refinement on Surface Mesh Failure

Automatic Surface Mesh Refinement on Surface Mesh Failure

I am running a model with a lot of parts with a wide variety of mesh refinements and element types. In my model, I typically had one part in particular that gave me a hard time meshing properly, and the surface mesher will automatically reduce the global mesh size on each iteration of the surface mesh failing. These automatic mesh refinements can add hundreds of thousands of elements in a completely useless refinement on my model when the iussue can be resolved by adding a small refinement to a tiny part in respect to the size of the entire model.

I would propose an option that allows each failed surface meshing attempt prompt a window showing the part number(s) that failed and having an option asking if the user would like to automatically refine and try again. Sometimes the red bar indicating a failed surface mesh verifaction shown in the "Validating Mesh" step is shown for such a short amount of time (milliseconds) that I am unable to determine which part failed. In some cases this leads me to take ridiculous steps to find out which part had the failure triggering the automatic mesh refinement.
