I see that ASIM provides a plugin for major cad softwares?are you guys planning to develop one for unigraphics/nx.

Because it really sucks to redo everything for every design  iteration.

Hi GLM,

Version 2013 can read native UGS NX files. Version 2013 was either released on the 27th or is being released today (March 29). Either way, you do not have too long to wait. Smiley Happy

Hello John

one more quick question for you?

Is there any free simulation viewer like you got one for CFD?

A free viewer? Not exactly.

The newly released version 2013 lets Simulation Mechanical users export the current results to Autodesk Showcase. The resulting Showcase file can be sent to non-Mechanical users where they can view it with a free Autodesk Showcase Viewer. However,

  1. The Mechanical user needs to have Showcase installed -- which is not free.
  2. The non-Mechanical user cannot switch result types, etc. It can only display the result that you provide.
  3. I do not know whether the contour legend is transferred to Showcase or not. If not, then you would need to provide a bitmap or some other reference to show what the colors represent.
