Simulation Mechanical 2017 instalation error

Hello,

So I had Sim Mech 2017 installed on my computer before, but due to driver issues I had to reset my entire PC.

I tried to reinstall Sim Mech but I continuously get errors. Ive tried uninstalling the necessary redistributabless, turning off my fire wall. deleting all files and starting again but to no avail. Weirdly enough when i try to install it, i get that 16 of 18 things are downloaded, but i havent been able to find where these are saved.

Im uploading my log files. Any help is appreciated and the sooner the better as I need the software to complete some schoolwork thank you

Hi Alan,

It looks like you are trying to run the installation over the internet. Have you tried to download the file(s) first, and then run the installation?

I know that when technical support provides links to download the software, there are two files that need to be downloaded. In other words, the software is large enough that the download is broken into two sections. I'm not sure how the download that you are using works. It sounds to me like it has only downloaded one of the files ("16 of 18").

If this is not the solution to your problem, you might want to post your log file to the Installation & Licensing forum. They probably have more expertise to interpret the log file.

Hello,
When I try to run the instalation offline i get an error window that say
files aren't in the right place, or the software can't connect to the
servers.
I will post in that forum as well. Thank you
