Autodesk simulation mechanical 2018.1

Can someone advise me how to install Autodesk simulation mechanical 2018.1? I have already 2018 installed on my computer.

Hi John,

The instructions given to install update 2018-1 is not clear. When I open Autodesk desktop app the window is as shown in the attachment. 

Please advise.

Hi @RansiDevendra6239 

 

Why are you trying to use the Autodesk App? The installation file for Sim Mech 2018.1 is attached to the post that I referenced. All you need to do is download the file, unzip it, and run the installer (the file "Simulation_Mechanical_2018.1_Update.msp").

I wanted to make sure you were able to access the 2018.1 update and get it installed.

Hi John,

To run the installer (Simulation_Mechanical_2018.1_Update.msp) is it ok if I right click and click on apply and then continue? See attached.

Yes, it looks like "Apply" is the correct option in this situation.

Hi John,

Thank you for the advice. I managed to run the update.  When I check "About Autodesk Simulation Mechanical (64-bit)" it shows "Build 2018.01.0053 01-Oct-2017. I believe the installation had taken place correctly?
