Imported curves blocky

When I imported the object, the edges that were supposed to be rounded have turned into blocky edges. I have the Conversion Setting under import status set to 003-Small Objects. I've tried the other settings as well under the import status window. See the attached images

003-small object is an adaptive tassellation settings.
the closer the camera is to the object, the better the tassellation.
Among the adaptive settings is the one with the finest tassellation.

do the following:
option 1:
go to file -> settings -> performance and quality.

change the settings from "Automatic quality control" to "lock display quality to".
and set the slider to the highest value.
this should set the tassellation to the best qualitty possible.

option 2: change the import setting to a non adaptive settings:
in the import window.
right click on the conversion setting of the file and select LOD High.
update the model
