Adding text to Animations

Can anyone recommend a workflow for adding text captions to a Showcase Animation? Would Movie Maker be the way to go for this?  My video will have multiple clips with text associated with each clip.  I'm currently experimenting with Movie Maker but was wondering if there are other / better options.

Movie maker is ok.

But if you want better text and effects, you have to move to other softwares like after effects or premiere.

Thanks again for the info!  I downloaded a trial version and played around with it over the weekend.  Not too difficult to get going after some youtube tutorials...
