Not able to upload screencasts into forum post

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi everyone

For many posts I've tried but haven´t been able to upload a screencast into a forum post. These two troubles happen to me. When inserting it with the Url a message pops out saying "Not an screencast URL" but it is. The, when inserting it from My Screencasts, it shows in the preview, but when clicking on post, a message appears saying that the post has been changed because of an invalid HTML

The screencast is public

Sorry to see that you're running into this bug. It's a known issue that is being addressed by the Forums team. In the meantime, you can post a url linking to the screencast in your post.

@ddeike thanks, I'm glad to hear something is being done about this. I've had this issue for years, and it's pretty frustrating to have the forum's built-in function give itself an HTML error.
