EDIT:
Ok stumbled on a fix for this, missed it during my first search as the thread title didnt reference a crash or an error.http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/scaleform-unity-development/scaleform-unity-getting-started-is-so-cumb...
The fix for the editor appears to be just making sure that the "Use Direct3D 11*" flag is turned off in the player settings.
Ok so had a chance today to download the latest update to Scaleform the one that would bring 64-bit support and support for unity 4.6.
Unfortunately I've immediately hit problems. I'm just trying to run evaluate the latest update before upgrading our existing projects. So I imported the package into a blank unity project, load the main scene and hit play....Editor crashed. I tried to then plug in our lisence keys into the camera script, hit play....Editor crashed.
I've now attempted this same project with nothing but the default scaleform demo in it across the following unity installations.
- 4.6.1p5
- 4.6.2
- 4.6.3 p4
- 4.6.4p1
Each exhibiting the exact same problem, the demo imediately crashes the editor when you try to run it.
Attached is one of the editor logs after a crash.
It is worth noting at least that if I build this project to an android device, it runs as expected. However its not ideal to require building to device every time any changes need to be tested, particularly for larger projects with longer build times.
I'm hoping there is just some step that I'm missing in order to properly run the project in the editor? If so I'd be very happy to find out what it is if somebody could let me know.
