- metal compatibilty on ios

- resolve libpng and libjpg conflicts with arm64 builds

I am really hoping they upgrade to allow Scaleform in Unity 5 as well!  Unity's GUI's have always been pretty bad.  The image quality and text is just terrible.

I hope Scaleform can come to Unity 5 quickly.

You can make SF work with split binary builds with some work. We have a system which keeps an index of files which need to be extracted from the OBB at first boot (or post-update), which we extract into Application.persistentDataPath + "/StreamingAssets". A small modification to SFManager.cs to use this path for the Android content path is the only other change needed.

We've also removed the libpng link flag from the SF postprocess here and we build successfully for arm64.

But we'd also like the other 3 you mention 🙂

Hi,

We use Scaleform in most of our projects and are a bit perterbed by the lack of clarity on a possible release for Unity 5. The new version of Unity has been out for about six months now. It would be great to get at least a yes or no as to a commitment from Autodesk to support Scaleform in Unity 5 and is so a rough estimate for a release date.

We are also doing more VR projects and cannot delay moving to 5 for much longer...

Cheers,

J.

We are also waiting for ScaleForm to work with Unity 5 so we can make use of several newer plugins that already are only working with Unity 5 and of course the new features and performance improvements of Unity 5.

Hi, thanks for asking about Unity 5 support.  Sorry about the delayed response.  The Scaleform plugin only supports Unity 4 and no further updates are planned.

Thank you
