Dear Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Team,
I am writing to kindly request the integration of Ukrainian national design standards (DBN – Державні будівельні норми) and Ukrainian technical standards (DSTU – Державні стандарти України) into Robot Structural Analysis.
These codes and standards are essential for ensuring structural safety and legal compliance in Ukraine. As the country moves forward with the national implementation of BIM-based design practices, the inclusion of DBN and DSTU norms into structural analysis tools like Robot Structural Analysis becomes critical for both engineering practice and education.
We propose including the following key standards:
Design Codes (DBN):
– DBN B.2.6-98: Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures
– DBN V.2.6-162:2010: Masonry and Reinforced Masonry Structures. General Provisions
– DBN V.2.6-198:2014: Steel Structures
– DBN V.2.6-161:2017: Timber Structures. General Provisions
– DBN B.1.1-12:2014: Construction in Seismic Regions of Ukraine
– DBN B.1.2-2:2006: Loads and Actions
Material Standards (DSTU):
– DSTU EN 10025 (all relevant parts): Hot-rolled steel sections for general structural purposes
– DSTU 3760:2019: Reinforcing steel for reinforced concrete structures
– Other applicable DSTU standards covering physical properties and classification of construction materials commonly used in Ukraine
By implementing both DBNs and DSTUs, Autodesk would greatly support the Ukrainian engineering community, making Robot Structural Analysis a truly viable tool for modern digital design within our national framework. This step would also reflect Autodesk’s global vision of supporting local industry standards and professional communities.
Thank you very much for your attention and consideration.
Sincerely,
Yaroslav Kravchenko
