It would be great if there was a way to save the user's preferred settings for diagrams in the preferences. I find myself adjusting these settings ~ 20 times a day (sometimes more). I can circumvent this with the API but IMHO it should be either a preference setting or the software should store the latest settings and reproduce them by default.

From robot and Revit 2023 version we cannot transfer provided reinforcement robot to Revit, I am not sure why Autodesk was removed it. And why we have to model all rebars that already were modelled in robot, why the extra work ?

Hi I use AutoCAD (Plant 3D, P&ID, Advance Steel), Autodesk Inventor, and I find usefull hitting the space bar to call the last command, also it would be nice to work/option in Autodesk Robot. Thanks for your time

Offsets have to be replaced with another option in which rigid links will be automatically defined in proper locations, because the way that they are used right now in Robot is not convenient at all and it is causes many simulation problems... Especially in RC structures, where it is immediate to consider non "centerlined" connections between members, Robot has to be improved about this issue.

When running non-linear analysis, different combinations should be computed simultaneously in separate threads. This would make such calculation almost an order of magnitude faster.

BUENAS TARDES!!!
estoy utilizando autodesk robot es una excelente herramienta estructural, pero es super importante utilizar el código de construcción como lo es la NSR 10. fuera excelente que lo agregaran en las listas de normas y códigos
gracias.

I have doubts about RSA development is halted or moving very slow. We nearly have the next gen of Autodesk SW for this year and RSA only got a hotfix but no feature improvement. The UI is very old and not aligned with Autodesk ribbon style, and next gen EC is not implemented. Also, there is no masonry, aluminium design for EC + we cannot get provided reinforcement for EN and BS EN codes for RC walls and deep beams too. Users need to subscribe in order to use Autodesk SW so why the development team is waiting for whole year to just release small updates?

As for now after each collecting of phases it is necessary to re-define all combinations of load cases from different phases.
In most of cases repetition of collecting of phases is resulting from some modifications in single phases and necessity to re-calculate the model after it. After such modifications the new collecting is done for precisely the same list of phases.
In such case implementation of the update of collected phase (instead of generation of the new one) would simplify necessary users' action and result in very simple way to preserve in collected phase already defined combinations of load cases from different phases.
It is the feature which would significantly improve the usability of phase structures in modeling of sequential construction.

I feel there's room for improvement in seeing which loads are applied to which claddings. I've attached a screenshot from a wind load case in a (relatively simple) model and you can see it's completely incomprehensible! One idea could be to filter the viewport by selected loads within a load case and highlight the panels it's applied to (e.g. I've selected the Windward load, but I can still see all the other loads in WIND 1)

This modeling option is really practical when using PPE lost formwok to save concrete, save reinforcement and of course save a lot of CO². (cf Daliform products) The slab inertia is hopefully well computed but not the real dead weight of the slab. The algorithm computes an equivalent slab based on revised inertia. Concequently the reinforcement computation and mapping are false as the armlength is drastically reduced compared to on site reinforcement, --> it artificially boost the reinforcement requirements which is not the proper conclusion. could you please revise the computation for this hollow slab ?

As you can see to my thread below, I feel that is a huge minus of Robot not to be able to design easily a foundation system that consists from isolated foundations that are connected with Tie beams (inverted T section). This is a common practice to use foundations like this to steel structures and other softwares like cype can do it. I think it would be very useful to be able to design a baseplate where the column is eccentric to the base centreline. In my experience this happens quite often. I think it would also be good to be able to have the bolts eccentric/assymetric.

Hi, Is it possible to combine a particular case with the envelope to yield maximum/minimum results. This would save time from creating more combinations. Thanks Husmat

A general update in push over analysis should take place. There are several issues that must be resolved in order this type of analysis to be completed in Robot. Some of these are already posted, for instance the following links: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Capacity-curve/td-p/3651586 http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Frustrating-plastic-hinges/m-p/3649112/highlight/true#M8097 ..and many others like the ability to set a starting case (usually containing dead and live loads) before the push over analysis e.t.c (I think that some of them are already posted as SR in Subscription Center).
