Wrong deflection taken into calculations

Good afternoon,

I am designing a staircase and need to limit the deflection.

When calculating reinforcement Robot takes the wrong deflection into account and requires a lot of reinforcement in the inclined part and barely any at horizontal parts.

Is there a way to change which deflection is calculated as shown in the picture?

Hello, here is the model. I have created 2 models, one global and one isolated. In the isolated one Robot seems to pick up the correct deflection
and in the global one - not at all.

Hi @karolisKZK6A

If you use the same reinforcement type for all stairs panels (for example Perdanga X) you'll get same deflection.

I may have been misunderstood. Here is the scheme of the issue I had in mind.

karolisKZK6A_0-1757483588014.png

Inclined part of the staircase requires the same amount of reinforcement in both scenarios, but the flat
parts aren't the same, simply, because Robot doesn't have to increase  rq. reinforcement area where deflection is lower than required.

Controlling deflections by lowering maximum allowed cracking width seems to be the solution to the problem. It's just
weird to me, that robot doesn't pickup the right deflection at the flat parts of the staircase. Maybe I am missing something.

I made some modifications to your model:
- New Reinf type
- Decrease of stairs thickness
- Pinned lineare releases

When Deflection verification is done, you get messsage that admissible deflections has been exceeded for all panels, but only inclined panel deflection is diplayed, not for horizontal panels.

You have any idea of why is deflection not displayed for horizontal panels though? That is exactly my question 😁
