Wind load simulation theory

Hi everyone,

I'm doing a project comparing code base wind loads to RSA's wind load simulator.

Is there any manuals showing the process of the CFD technology specific for thr RSA wind simulator? I've see Autodesk CFD manuals but I'm not sure the governing equations are the same as the simulator's ones, can someone point me to governing equations of the wind simulator in Robot?

btw I'm not talking about the deviation facotr and the process of convergence.

Regards,

Itamar.

Hi Rafael,

I've also seen this paper. Unfortunately, it doesn't contain what I need, I need the theory which the CFD technology in the wind simulator is based on. Is it the Navier-Stokes equations and the Momentum and Energy equations as in Autodesk CFD?

On page 6 it is written: ... By incorporating computational fluid dynamics (CFD) ....
It means it is CFD engine inside Robot.

Hi,

I'm developing a similar work, but comparing it to wind tunnel tests. Did you get a good answer to your question?
How did you handle the wind speed profile?
