WIND LOAD Simulation - generate wind load cases

Hi,

 

Is it possible to re-run the same wind load cases? I notice that always generate new load cases , which is a bit of awkward since the combination load cases already call the existing ones. Is there any option to avoid having to change the load cases?

Hi @Anonymous

 

If you already generated load case with actual loads from wind simulation they are stored in the rtd file and there is no need to run wind simulation again.

If you want to change the parameters then try7 the following:

1. Delete all loads from the wind load case that you already have

2. Run wind simulation which will create new load case 

3. On the edit tab of the load table select all newly created loads and using fill special change their load case from the newly created one to the already existing old wind load case (watch: Build Your Robot Structural Analysis IQ! - Tips and tricks in Robot at approx. the 21st minute)

4. Delete the new wind load case.

The fill special command does not seem to work in the load table?

HI @Anonymous 

 

It works and I have been using it for many models over last years :-). Mind that as the table has got variable data in its field it can only be used for Case and List fields.

I just realised that I forgot to run the analysis after generating the wind loads! 
It works now!
