Wind Load Generation on Open-Frame Industrial Structures in Autodesk Robot

Hi everyone, Robot’s automatic wind load generator is quite convenient for enclosed geometries and 2D frames that can be replicated along the 3D direction. However, it seems to have limitations when applied to 3D open-frame industrial structures such as pipe racks and process structures. In these cases, the program doesn’t appear to correctly interpret member exposure or apply realistic wind pressures. As a result, manual calculation of equivalent linear wind loads at different elevations is often required to obtain accurate forces on the structural members — a process that can be both time-consuming and prone to user errors.

Has anyone found an effective workflow or workaround for applying wind loads to open-frame structures in Robot?
