Wind and Snow - how to include ice?

Hello All,

Can anyone Please guide me how to use Wind and Snow . I have to apply ice load in my model.

Hi Yogesh,

you will have to define ice loading manually I am afraid.

It can be done easier using the Painting Surface (Perimeter) parameter of steel sections used in specific bars. Multiplying it by the thickness of ice and the specific weight of ice you can obtain the value of UDL load to apply to bars with specific section.

I have shown this parameter in the section database viewer and as the column added in the table of bars.
