Why Autodesk doesn't develop RSA

Hi All,

As we all love RSA and we hope that to improve it as much as can to fit all our requirements for analysis and design.

I think its time here to evaluate the Autodesk development of RSA . I am attaching here links For what is new in RSA since 2013

Comparing to the development to other softwares as all of us know that we can see that Autodesk doesnt develop RSA to remain it as a leader of all structural softwares which really make us very sad about this result .

Before RSA was containing a lot of options which is not included in any softwares many advantages, but now the other companies develop their softwars and became more advanced than RSA.

Because we are community and we invest in RSA long time ago for more than 10 years (I have RSA license Since 2009 ) I think we have the right to ask why like that and what is Autodesk policy regarding RSA.

RSA needs further development like every other SW, but Midas has no Revit interoperability like RSA, and I cannot see 3D reinforcement detailing in Midas. I think we need to be optimistic about RSA developments, Autodesk has the most experience about CAD so they know RSA will be disregarded if they don't propose new features.

For e.g., RSA still cannot provide RC wall reinforcement detailing for EC and BS EN codes which is a crazy thing. If you are working for EU based projects, you only can get RC wall provided reinforcement from French codes and ACI. Just for that reason I switched Tekla Structural Designer for RC building design.

I think you also need to check out Dlubal RFEM software for new features. RSA can implement lots of new features by using Autodesk' sources.

Considering Midas gen version 2022 and 2023, you can find the big deference between Midas and Robot,

Specially: Pushover Analysis, Construction Stage Analysis, Pile caps Design, Piles design.
