What Calculation Model to Use for an RC Slab

Hi,

I am trying to model a reinforced concrete slab on a structure. i have already modelled all columns, walls and beams, now i need to add the slab.

My question is, which calculation model shall i use for this case?

Deck Slab, shell, slab- flexible diaphragm or slab rigid diaphragm?

Where can i find more information on these types of elements so i can understand the difference?

Regards

What did you go for in the end and have you found any info on the differences?

If you want to calculate reinforcement you have to generate surface elements (mesh) and most likely you don't assume that the slab is indefinitely rigid for in-plane forces which you may want to include in the design of reinforcement (in addition to bending moments) as well -> shell
