User defined (via API or any method) maps on bars. Steel design. Utilisation rat

Hello,

I need to do some steel analysis with an historical Steel code ('50s), therefore the steel design module in Robot cannot perform it.

I will do the calculation outside of Robot, but I would like to map back in Robot the governing utilisation ratio with colours.

Is that possible?

Any method (API, combination of manual input and API...) would be fine.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Hi @Anonymous

I am sorry but it is not possible to put \ pull back any results to Robot, neither manually nor  by API.

Thanks Rafal for your quick reply.

I have found a way to post my calculation results into Robot manually (see attachments):

- I assign the utilisation ratio to the bar name

- I create groups for each utilisation ratio range and I assign them a colour, ie "UR>1.0", red.

In Display>Mark by colours > Tick Groups

plus Display> Bars > Tick Bar name

Can you do this via API? Do you have any examples on how to do it?

Many thanks,

Violeta

Hi @Anonymous

Oh, this way it could be possible by API.

While creating the group color can be assigned.

Also display should be available (I_VDA_STRUCTURE_GROUP_COLORS)

Never tried by myself 🙂

Hi @Anonymous

Please note that you will have only 11 colors for your groups.
