timber slab

Hi,

I have to model in Robot a slab that have two structural elements at different levels. The slab is made of various beams spaced in intervals of 0,50m and between those beams there are structural elements connecting top-to-top of the beam and bottom-to-bottom. How can I do that in robot?

Thanks,

Ricardo

As far as I understood it is a grillage = set of bars.
Any drawing would be appreciated

Is it similar to this one?

not equal but similiar...

I pretend to model this:

Furthermore, the main reason why I am doing this is to study the diaphragm effect of old timber slabs with the transversal beam and without...

I already run some trials, using the offset option when I place the bars, but when I run the calculations the displacements show are all equal to zero, but the structure shown by the robot show deformation...

I would consider modelling it like this:

And could you send me a step-by-step how to to that? Or where can I find that information...

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the video, it was really useful 😄

But, I adapt the video to my "reality" and model this structure

2.PNGBut, when I consult the results (translation movements) it shows that are all "zero", no matter what force I use...

2.1.PNG

Is interesting is that the Robot is calculating the forces in all bars...

2.3.PNG

I know it is a small force (1kN only) but, like I already said, I have tried with other forces (much bigger than 1kN) and nothing happen...

Could you help me again?
