strength reduction factor modification

Hello fellow community!

I there a way to change the strength reduction factor (fi) for the ACI design?

I've been warned that due to the seismic combinations these strength reduction factors change.

Can't you put an algorythm that regonizes seismic combinations and thus change the reduction factor into the next version?

Dear Rafal,

The Appendix C of ACI 318M-08 is a whole chapter regarding alternative load and strength reduction factors.

As it is shown in the pictures attached, the reduction factor for some combinations is different from the usual in which this reduction factor goes from 0,65 to 0,9.
