Steel deck

Hi

I have designed a warehouse with cladding on the top of the beams, so I want to assign a steel deck to the cladding, but when I select the FE Thickness it shows me a concrete slab (TH30-CONCR) and I can not find steel deck profile. Is there any way to insert a steel deck profile or design a profile?

Regards

Tofigh

You can assign a thickness only to panels.

On thickness dialogue window , click on " new" , choose orthotropic tab and select steel deck type orthotropy.

Robot will perform analysis considering steel deck properties , but will not design it

If Robot will not calculate the steel deck panels, how can I avoid the creation of many nodes in the slab?It happens when I run calculations.

It could be set in the Advanced meshing options.

I hope the replied message can be seen

To have  analysis results(Forces , reactions, displacements) for the slab ,the panel has to be meshed.

If you don´t want/need results for the steel deck ,use claddings ,but then you will have only 2 options for load distribution , one way or 2 way.
