Steel connection visible in model

Hi everyone,

Question from a beginner: is it possible to see steel connection in the 3D model?  I have designed few of them but can't find yet a way to display them on the 3D. What I would like ideally is to show the connection on the left directly on the model on the right (FYI it's just a dummy structure for me to get used to Robot... still at the beginning of the learning curve!)

Hi @Anonymous

No, it's not possible.

In the model, beams are modelized as lines, not as panels.

Hi @Simau ,

Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought. Is there a way to make the model look better, with beam flushing with each other instead of being a bit rough cut like that?

Or do I have to import to Revit to make it look visually attractive ?

Do not worry about the appearance.
When the beams have very different dimensions, there is an option, but quite long, that is to place the ends of the bars in the right place and link them by rigid links.
You will then have very accurate results and a nice appearance.

The appearance is mostly towards our customers. We mostly (about 95%) do 2D and for the few 3D we do, I know the customer pay a quite good premium. And it kinda annoys me to show the customer a model that doesn't look slick even if it has no impact on results.

The above is also the reason why nearly every time I use Robot, I kinda restart learning it... I'm the only one to use it, and I use it maybe 5-6 times a year so plenty of time to forget even with my notes!
