Slanted Cladding Surface & Uniformly Distributed Load Not Working?

Anonymous

Hello,

I am trying to model a steel frame roof with timber infill joists.

To make things simple I just wanted to create a surface with no deadweight automatically associated to it and apply a load to the surface which would represent the dead / live / etc loads applied to the roof.

To use this I used the cladding surface tool.

I set the cladding surface to be one way spanning - simulating joists spanning between the steel frames.

However when I apply a uniform surface load in the Z direction to a slanted surface it doesn't appear to resolve the force as singly spanning - if at all.

Anyone experienced this or would know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

I am using Robot 2019, Windows 64bit

Hi @Anonymous

Make sure the claddings are flat.

You may use this tool to do so.

If it is not the case , please post your file.
