Hello,
I have created a model for slab reinforcement design and crack verification, but there are few things which are not really clear to me.
First of all, I have created the model, applied the load, created ULS and SLS combinations and run the analyses. Then I have set the reinforcement parameters for slabs and walls and run the calculations in the "Slab - required reinforcement" section. Finally, according to the minimum values I got, I have manually input the provided reinforcement.
Now, I was wondering why if I go back to the "Slab - required reinforcement" section and run the verification the results don't change even if I change the provided reinforcement. Also, I have noticed that the results in terms of deflections are basically the same of the ones obtained by a linear analysis, but the deflection obtained by the reinforcement calculations are much higher (running the calculations I get stiffness factors up to 8, while running the verification they are very close to 1).
Can you please advise on this? It is my understanding that in the calculations the creep coefficient gets taken into account, is it different for the verification?
I have attached the model file.
Many thanks,
Danilo
