Hello,

In modelling a simple beam.

What's' the support condition when modelling a simple beam with torsion?

Hi @saclovitzky  . Not sure of what you meant ,but if it is a simple beam on a 3d model , then you have to block the moment/rotation in the bar axial direction at least on one of the bar end nodes.

@Rafacascudo ,pls. see attached file. Can you update the support. And also, in running the design, does it recognize(included) the torsional mo9ment in the reinforcement design?

thanks for the help.

As I said in my 1st post , it needs at least a Rx restraint on one of the supports or structure will be considered unstable by RSA.

For the RC design , I cannot help you as I don´t use the RC design module as RSA does not have the brazilian codes implemented.

But most probably , torsion is taken in account.
