I am attempting to analyze the forces on columns and shear walls in building planning. In the case of shear walls interacting with columns, as illustrated in the image below, I am exploring whether, in manual calculations, the forces acting on the shear wall can be combined with those on the column.
I have tried creating pier labels for both the shear wall and column in robot structural analysis, but the results were inconclusive.
For scenarios where the shear wall is directly combined with the column, as shown in the image below, how should we handle the forces in that situation?
