Robot doesn't use the entire rebar length

I am designing a 14m beam with 4 spans. My maximum rebar length is 9m but when I use provided reinforcement I realise the software doesn't use the full 9m even when the reinforcement is needed along the entire length. It rather breaks them into small bits like 2m, 3m etc. How do I make it use the entire 9m without breaks?

Hi @Anonymous

Could you attach the rtd file with this beam?

Ok

I am attaching it.

Check beam 68 as an example.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

The reinforcement generation algorithm tries to split bars at the locations of the zero bending as the priority. If you want longer bars you can adjust them in the way shown below:

Hi @Anonymous

If you have a closer look you can see that you actually selected two parallel reinforcement bars rather than two co-linear ones. Before selecting rebars switch to the Detailed tab of the reinforcement table visible under the graphical viewer wit beam reinforcement and then select two co-linar top reinforcement bars.
